Antikythera Mechanism

Often described as the world’s first mechanical computer, the device dates back to over 2000 years (200 BC). The device was found in 1900 by sponge divers, off the coast of Greece. There was a shipwreck there. Here they located a coral infested box; it was made of metal alloy. The box was shipped to the Athens museum where about half s century later it was X-Rayed, and found to contain very sophisticated alignment of wheels, within wheels, that looked pretty much like the mechanism of a modern day Swiss watch.
